Folded notes, a leaf-shaped message, fairy banknotes, a royal summons, and a concertina of forest people carry the exchange. The writer explains how to prepare a garden, how fairy post is handled, and what manners the little people expect. The book is a collection of short letters and inserts rather than a chaptered novel. Setting and figures remain those of a private fairy correspondence, not a longer quest narrative.
