This set gathers four of Wilkie Collins's long novels of secrecy and detection, first published in the 1860s: The Woman in White, No Name, Armadale, and The Moonstone. Families, fortunes, and identities are threatened by forgery, hidden marriage, swapped heirs, or a stolen gem. Lawyers, servants, and unreliable narrators piece events together through letters, diaries, and testimony. Settings run from English country houses to the sea and, in one book, a colonial past that returns. Each novel is complete in itself. The collection is his major sensation fiction, not the shorter tales.
