Fifty Folio Love Poems

This miniature anthology collects fifty love poems from a range of periods and languages. The pieces are lyrics of desire, absence, jealousy, praise, and parting rather than long narratives. Speakers address a beloved, a rival, or their own change of heart; the tones run from courtly complaint to comic or bitter plain speaking. There is no continuous plot and no single lover's story. The book is a pocket sampler of amatory verse, arranged for brief reading, not a history of love poetry or a complete works of any one poet.

32 wood. Cream silk binding. Red endleaves. Gold slipcase. Miniature poetry series.
