Synopsis
This graphic-novel sequence follows T'Challa as he returns to rule Wakanda after disaster and finds a country that no longer agrees to be ruled. A popular rising, stirred by the mystic organizers Tetu and Zenzi and by the teacher Changamire's arguments against kings, spreads from village to city. T'Challa must defend the nation from outside enemies while answering his own people, and he leans on his sister Shuri, the Dora Milaje, and uneasy allies. The work is a political superhero story in comics form, not a prose novel and not a history of Africa.
