First published in 1928, this children's book returns to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Christopher Robin, Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, and Rabbit are joined by Tigger. The animals build a house at Pooh Corner for Eeyore, invent games, get stuck in snow and streams, and try to educate Tigger. Pooh and Piglet's friendship and the changing seasons organize the chapters. Toward the end Christopher Robin's time in the wood begins to close. The book is a sequence of comic pastoral episodes, not a school story.
