The Folio Christmas Book

This anthology collects seasonal stories, verses, and a few playlets about Christmas rather than a single narrative. Typical pieces include a childhood Christmas remembered, a country-house feast, a comic or sour family gathering, a nativity lyric, and a ghost or moral tale set in December. Contributors range from earlier essayists and poets to later short-story writers. There is no continuous plot. The book is a mixed Christmas reader of prose and verse, not a reprint of one famous carol story and not a handbook of customs.

Quarter-bound in red cloth with white paper boards printed with a multicolour design. Green slipcase.
