The Children's Bible Stories

This anthology retells narrative episodes from the Old and New Testaments in language meant for young readers, staying close to the shape of the King James text. Typical Old Testament pieces include Eden, the Flood, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, and Daniel; the New Testament follows the nativity, the ministry, parables, and the passion and resurrection. The arrangement is chronological rather than thematic. There is no modern frame story. The book is a children's story Bible, not a complete translation and not a work of theology.

Bound in tan cloth with gold lettering on the spine, blue, white, and brown illustrations on the front cover and spine. Dark blue slipcase.
